1.     Recognizing the value of your time.

  • Calculating time value, based on the tasks set. Time management principles. Time and efficiency. Impact of planning on work performance.

2.     Planning of tasks and responsibilities.

  • Elaborating and structuring a list of all tasks and responsibilities. Task classification: regular tasks, small irregular tasks and large irregular tasks (projects).
  • Planning instruments. Checklists for regular tasks. Drafting a task schedule. Time schedules. Personnel planning. Money planning.

3.     Principles of calendar planning.

  • Planning and principles for the next day. Planning of meetings. Planning of tasks. Analysis of the day. Observing priorities. Unexpected obstacles. Principles for efficient note taking. Planning and timely implementation of several small tasks. Overwork. Unplanned tasks. Time management for unplanned tasks and their implementation.
  • Weekly planning and/or monthly planning. Why plan the week/month? Schedule of weekly/monthly tasks. Planning of meetings. Meeting the deadline of delayed tasks. Optimization of work performance. Tasks with fixed and undetermined deadlines and their planning.

4.     Prioritizing – setting and observing priorities.

6.     Self-motivation for planning.

  • How does planning affect efficiency? How to fight procrastination associated with unpleasant tasks. The skill of pro-activity. Motivating oneself for planning.

7.     Communications required for time management.

  • Three critical aspects of effective time management: comprehension, precision and deadline. Communication with a supervisor regarding the task. Accepting and delivering the task. Task implementation control. Communication with colleagues. External communication (customers, suppliers, co-operation partners).
